水草情迷

我個草缸的泥已經用了一年多, 是否需要翻缸呢? 如果要翻缸, 請指教我應該注意什麼.

我的草缸是 : 48"闊 x 15"深 x 24"高.

我應該買多少泥呢? 是否買ADA1代黑泥呢?
要放基肥嗎? 要放多少呢? 之前的缸是沒有放基肥. 是否放了基肥植物會生長健康點呢?
剛開缸需要放根肥和液肥嗎?
我的濾材有生物環和生物石, 水質都o.k., PH在6 -6.5之間 (是指現在的草缸.), 是否可以不換濾材呢?

請各師兄指教!

翻缸之後我都係選擇用返一代泥 , 感覺好似用得耐啲

我相問如果落基肥要放多少呢?

還有, 為何我的玫瑰蝴蝶不是很紅, 葉看起來好硬, 不像最初買回來那麼柔軟? 如果我落根肥就更加硬了及會卷起, 何解呢?

Sorry matthewchoy27 that I had made a terrible typo - ADA I is far much better than ADA II in terms of quality/ sustainability and is always recommended (I have just amended my reply above).

For your case, I don't think that bottom sticks are the problem. There should be something else. How do you maintain your tank daily? Anyway, I can't remember how much substrate should apply but you may refer to the instruction printed on the plastic bag.

2). 我現在的草缸 200L水, 每四日換水1/3, 會放水質穩定劑 (Aqua Safe) 約35ml, 超級硝化細菌 (Tesino Super Nitrobacteria) 約7ml, Brighty K (5下), Plant Nutrition (5ml), 份量足夠嗎?
因為之前放 Plant Nutrition 約 10ml就有很多黑毛藻, 所以我就減了份量, 這樣做正確嗎?

First of all, I'd suggest not to add "超級硝化細菌" and Plant Nutrition. Having too much of them would cause algae burst. There are many reasons why those red plants are not red. Give us some more info please:
1. How long has your tank been set up?
2. What's your lighting system?
3. Your daily lighting hours?
4. CO2 supply level?
5. How frequent do you change the water? And how much?

Usually, for a new set up tank, there's no need to add bottom sticks and liquid fertilizers (except Brighty K).

超級硝化細菌不是換水後一定要落嗎? 7ml都多嗎? 那一點都不落會否做菌不夠呢?
Plant Nutrition (5ml)是換 1/3水後放的. 如果太多? 應落多少呢? 是否一點都不應該落呢? 那會否不夠肥呢?

"放基肥" is necessary for the tank of your size. This is to upkeep the fertilization level of your tank and should be done when you establish it. But since your tank has been set up for 1.5 years, you're unable to do it now, and in fact, you'd better startover the tank again, no matter it's ADA I or ADA II. Normally, we would recommend to add bottom sticks for every 3 months to supplement the fertilizers. If you're not going to start over the tank now, it's time to add them - both Multi and Iron Bottom Sticks. Also, you may need to add liquid fertilizers as well, such as Bright K, Step 3, Special Light, Iron, Trace, ECA etc - if not all.

"超級硝化細菌" only helps to speed up the process of building up the bacteria purifying system at the beginning. It should not be used regularly after each water change. We don't need such chemicals for daily maintenance. Some of the pros here even don't use these chemicals at all.

For your lighting of HQI 150Wx3, I don't have any experience about them, let other c hings reply. For the CO2 supply level, I would say it's too low for your large tank. Frankly, my tank is only of 24" (about 56l of water) and I'm supplying 3-4 bubbles per second of CO2. Although the supply of CO2 may vary (depending on the level of CO2 diffusion or how small the diffused bubbles are), the fact that plants not growing well should already be a good signal to make some changes on this. For your frequency and quantity of changing water, they seem fine for me.
