Don't cut the leaves. Pull those stems down inside the soil. 迷你矮珍珠 takes time to grow. They won't grow fast during the first month due to adaption, but they'll burst once get stable.

What about your lighting? For how long is your tank established? And your equipment? Wanna know more, just in case their growing upward is due to lack of light.

I just gradually increase the lighting time. I once had Green Spot Algae but was cleared after I removed the Fluval PO4 remover and cut away the infected leaves. No other algae is found. I have a lot of plants in my tank absorbing much fertilizers and that may be the reason why. I only regularly clear the moss (just a little) on the glass once a week.

Your tank is almost of 40L water. Having only 16w lighting is not enough and that's why your 矮珍珠 is growing upward.
