Hi all,

This is my third tank setting. this time I'm using LED for lighting. Friend of mine helped me to install the LED. I wish I know how to do it.

The LEDs are 3 Watt start LED's, colour white(AU$20 each). Each one drops approx 4 Volts at 750 mA (maximum current).

The supply is a 50 kHz switching regulator with 24 V DC input and constant current output of 0 to 750 mA (dimmable) and with soft-start control of the dimming input the the power supply.

15W for my tank is a little bit too bright. as you can see those buddles on ricca. also DIY the tank base / hood / filter. very happy with the setting.

tank size: 230mm x 130mm x170mm
DIY CO2
ADA black soil, power sand.
1 cardinal tetra

ctchung兄，請問現在用的LED有沒有specification可參考？如Lumen，colour temp etc.　還有請問可以在那裡買到？需要加火牛嗎？

雖然現在的LED幾貴，但使用LED照明是未來的趨勢，因為太慳電啦！我見你現在使用的LED真係幾光，如果減少兩三粒會不會仍足夠？

25 Lumen per watt. not sure abt the colour temp. looks quite close to cool white to me.

normally I only use 70-80% of full brightness (dimmable switch) so the LEDs can last even longer in this case. you can try 2 less, enough for 陰缸.

remember the front side of LED doesn't produce much heat at all but it's quite hot at the back side, so you need a heatsink to attach on it.(behind the metal sheet) Currently the heatsink is 40 degrees.

I think it's worth the extra cost as it doesn't affect water temperture much so no need fan for cooling down. also last much longer.100 000hours.

Oic, very similar to EDEN 501, also have CO2 input .. i love it...

Actully the wooden base and wooden hat is the most appreciate part of your SET
