Sorry, it should be 105mm, just a typo. As for my other comment, I don't see anything is wrong there. So, are you telling me (the new guy) I should use the build in flash?? Flashing directly to the tank!???

1/60s is fast enough to capture the fish, as the hand shake problem, I mentioned to use a tripod! High ISO doesn't necessary mean the highest, 400 or 800!

But one thing I must admit that you have shown very nice pictures here, but I really don't think they are garbage, because I see some real garbage pics in your gallery!!! If you must use the term "garbage", I will instead address them as "the best-chosen ones from the garbages"!

Well, perhaps you do have better skills and is pro in aqua-landscaping or whatever, just need not to be so "MEAN"!! Just like growing aqua-plant, you have your method and my have mine! Any method that grows plant is a good method! And I really don't see anything wrong with my method, dude!

P.S. final checking on my message, hoping there isn't anything for your mean criticizing and I shall not carry on any further hereafter. However, friendly advise is highly welcome.

For Nikon, I really dun recomment use high ISO to take marco, coz 3 of my friends use D70/D70s to take marco with ISO 800 and ISO 1600.....they all suck not coz their skill, but its noise. So , they take marco with flash now.
For 105 marco, the safe shutter should be 1/105 for normal people, surely you can use slower if your hand is stable.
I am not expert in both photography and aquascaping. But I just want to share my experience for all of you.

mostly use ISO 800 and ISO 1600.....
ISO 100 if take with flash.

我完全了解Nikon高ISO時, noise的問題, 因為我曾經都係受害者, 由成set Nikon轉Canon(諗起都仲肉痛)!!! 至於用1/60其實夠快capture條魚, 蝦定定哋時就更加可以, 至於手震用tripod就冇事!

但係不得不承認, 我完全未試過用flash去影, 通常都係用ISO400影, 但光圈就唔可以太細. 只諗到可以在左右及頂set3枝長明燈去影, 但限於家中器材有限, 從未set過! 都想請教吓你點用枝flash去影, 直射唔反光? 反光咭? 定真係飛燈呢?

P.S. 影魚只係得2個月經驗, 因為啱啱養返魚.... 平時影landscape較多.

試下用Nikon high-end d既機, (e.g. D2X), 效果比D70s好好多, 真的!

用tripod的確係好辦法! 不過影魚, 蝦就麻煩d......我自己就會用手持, 推高ISO!
用flash我都係試過玩飛燈, 用飛燈線同紅外線飛燈~不過我都唔係用閃光燈老手, 要問問艾飛師兄, 哈哈!
如果用頂閃, 我都建議好似Alan兄, eric cheng 兄同蝦叔咁整個燈箱影, 用閃做影, 用支t5 for對焦....

P.S. 我個album真係有d garbage, 因為有d係用舊DC G3同fujifilm F50 影, 有d就係剛由DC轉DSLR唔慣時影的, 不過冇時間重遊但又想share, 所以先keep住~

做左一個小測試，覺得nikon 105mm 顏色好好多，接近原色，亦比較自然，而90DI 就有點偏黃同顏色較濃，自己就不太喜愛喇~(無奈我已經買左90DI

兩枝Sharpness 差唔多，所以唔放大比大家睇喇~~

lam_lamlam, 好靚的迷你紅鉛筆，這是鉛筆中我的最愛！

用50mm 或 60mm 最大的問題係會將枝鏡「隊」得太埋，會遮左Ｄ光。但佢的安全快門低Ｄ，手持時易玩Ｄ。所以單在魚缸影魚計，又真係啱用過 100mm。

若要 sharp 和 detail 鏡，差不多間間廠都谷「行」支 90-105mm range 的 macro, 因為佢係 product lens 首選，但要散景同靚色，咁 C記枝 85mm F1.8 同 N記枝 85mm F1.4 會正好多。Colour 可以後期造，但 sharp 和 detail 就唔可以，影 product 時 colour 可以慢慢 tune，所以有需要時會 compromise 佢。

反而 Gohan 的至愛 180mm macro, 用 APS size DSLR 時焦距真係太遠，又重，可以話無乜機會手持，而且價位真係好高，不如加多Ｄ諗枝 70-200 F2.8L IS 仲好！
