Here goes my new nano.

"Rocky Mountain" Setup:

Setup day: 16th April 2005

Light: DIY stand with 2 X 9W PL 6500K

Filter: 501 Jebo

CO2: DIY, Hagen bottle

Substract: mixture of several that I had from the previous tank ( already matured)

Flora: Hemainthus micranthemoides, Hemianthus calitrichoides " cuba"

very nice!
what is your tank's ph? did the rock inside the tank increase the ph a lot?

Thanks for the feedback. Honestly I don´t know the pH value or if the stones have raised it... All I can see is that H.C. is growing very nice and I decided to replace H. micranthemoides for Eleocharis acicularis to maintain a low trimming tank.

But I think the texture of rocks doesnt align~

Good.
When moss grows on the rocks, the view may be better.

normally , the ph value must be very high ....... check before putting fishes in.

Hi everyone.

Kelvin unfortunatelly I had too because my in my other layout the tank began loosing water. I fixed it and now I have this layout. The rocks texture may not seem equal but I assure you that they are all the same rock type.

肥肥魚 thanks but its not moss. Its Hemianthus callitrichoides " cuba" and the rocks have now green spot algae wich I like very much giving the layout a more natural look.

cheungjim and 15 thanks for your concern. I already tested the pH value and gives me 7.5 wich is no big deal. The CO2 is already finished so when I make a new one, the pH will certainly down. Fauna will be Red Cherry Shrimp.

Keisuke I will update the post next week to show you how plant growth has developed. For now, Im very pleased with H.C. as it has developed quite quickly.

it is great that the HC manage to grow in a such high ph water. normally plant cant grow well in ph that over 7.

ching4ever yes indeed, I´m too surprised of H.C.´s progress. If this developing continues, in 2 weeks I´ll have the foreground all covered with H.C. Here goes an update 2 weeks later after setup.
