Thank you for all your advices, especially RayMok. In fact, I am not lazy, I have searched and read a lot of articles and comments from 水草情迷網. And that is exactly why I asked the question. My new tank will be delivered next week. I have already made up my mind on all the equipments. But was confused when I read some posts about it would be better to use ADA soil.
My intention is to build a "Planted Discus Aquarium" with heavy plantation. I use "sump" (滴漏) as the filtration system. I found from some foreign web sites including Dupla that most of them mentioned using sand (of course, mix with laterite or other fertilizer) as the substrate. So, I logically think this would be the best set up. But read different comments here. May somebody please give me some advice on that. And where can I buy some good "Holland Sand" that will not make the pH increase.
