Room temp: 27.2 C
Water Temp:30.5 C (fan off)
Water Temp: 25.2 C (fan on)
Efficiency: 1 snail type fan = 3 tranditional CPU fans (the black, square share one)

Personal comment:
Price; snail type nearly same as 3 cpu fans
Effieiency;snail type better
Space occupied; snail type lesser
Outlook; snail type better (light blue fan with transuclent cover, snail shape)

1. Can you show your tank dimension or volume?

2. How long of time to cool down the water from 30.5C to 25.2C?

and one more, show the position of snail fan on the tank.

-Size of the tank, 15"; water volume about 37L
-Time to cool down the water from 30.5C to 25.2C is around
3 hours
-The snail fan placed on the top of the tank.

You mean the white wires at the third picture?
These are the electric wires of the T5 light tube,
not related to the fan, don't worry.

Coolermaster Aero is a super brand cooler as I known,
$60 is really a good price but I cannot find at Goldern Centre.
I just find the Aero with 3000 round per minute (rpm),$70 and 6000 rpm, $90
The one which I buy is China Product, Copy Version,
5500 rpm, $68
I just purchased one more fan at Goldern today (24/5) for my another tank.

Tip: There have three shops selling this China Product
(5500 rpm), all of them with price $68, I bargut with the sales and get $65.

How much is the transformer (220V/12V) ? and where to buy it?

I don't know the updated price of the transformer
as the one I used is the old one,
purchased for a period of time.

The fans is 12V but not indicated with designed current,
I connect the fan with transformer
(12V / 1A or said 1000mA),
at least 1A is safety range.

I tried to connect the fan with 12V, 350mA,
the current is too small and fan not move.

You could purchased the transformer at
Ap Lui Street nearby Goldern.

對這個蝸牛扇好大興趣。昨天到灣仔298找, 見到的都是連heatsink賣的, 要差不多$200一個。 請問Thony是在深水"土步"黃金商場那一層找到這個風扇, 請問有冇店鋪名? thx

Yes, you are right.
I found that the snail fan at
Wanchai 298, Mong Kok and Wanchai Computer Centre
are all selling with the heatsink,
the price is above $100.
But ......I recommend that heatsink is no use for us
in the tank, isn't it?

Up to this moment, I just noted this snail fan for solely sale (not included with heatsink) at B/F of Goldern Center.
3 shops selling China Version (I buy this, 5500 round per min.),
1 shop selling the brand - Aero (3000 rpm or 6000 rpm),
Sorry, I cannot not remenber the shop name.

I purached a new transformer at 毅俊電腦
(Shop 16A, G/F, Goldern Centre) for new fan
Output D.C. 12V 1.25A,$50
Econimic than Ap Lui Steet, consider it.
