A few weeks ago, I bought five 珍珠蝦. They looked fine for the first few days and no fish had attacked them. One day when I returned home and counted the number of 珍珠蝦 in my tank, I found two of them missing A few days later, another one disappeared too. I could hardly think of a reason coz there were no dead bodies found inside the tank. Suddenly, a few days ago, I found a dead body which looked like a 蝦米 on the ground. I suspect that those missing 珍珠蝦 had climbed out / jumped out from the tank and died. Can 珍珠蝦 live without water ?

Sure not

The shrimp died on the ground as you said, will you think the shrimp can live without water? Basically, all shrimp love to hide into wood. Do you have wood in tank? Also, they love to found food at night when they live in new environment.

I have the same experience. They jumped out and died.
You must provide some place for them to hide.
