Is that the '3-wave length' PL tube emit equal amount ofRed ,Green,Bluelight? So it's pure white? I saw some PL tube in ShamShuiPo (e.g. Toshiba) label '3-band', are they means '3-wave length'?
Now I am using a PML 9W PL light, do U know is it using '3-wave length' PL tube? Since I cannot find any lable on it.
Also is '3-wave length' PL tube better for water grass?
Yes, almost true. 3-band tube with
red and
blue phosphor and metal (mercury) vapour added, which make
red/
blue light intensity closer to
green light because
green phosphor is cheaper and higher efficiency.
There is no pure white since it is only meaningful against human eye, which is not same from people to people. And all know that red/blue bands are useful to plants and Green light only make you can see the green plants.
I don’t know PML tube spec. but you can try to find its CRI (Colour Rendering Index) for reference. Higher CRI (max. 100) means more actual colour you can see on the illuminated object. In other words, more equal colour spectrum it can give out, but of course, also relied on colour response of human eye only.
Hope can help you some
