水草情迷

Sera 12000K PL 合水草嗎?

唔多適合，上到咁大K數嘅係比珊瑚缸用，水草一般用6500K左右，4000K-8000K都有人用。

現在用 Sera 12000k 種水草 , 有害嗎?

魚店話 K 數高 = 好

SERA 支 12000K , 係比珊瑚用的, 不過佢都話加埋佢支4900K O既 植物鹵素管, 就用係淡木都可以, 不過上到咁高K 數, 已經係藍管黎了, 照在水草上, 顏色會很怪的.

I had try this also.
The colour seems not so netrual.
Also, the K 數 so high will have UV lights comes out.
This is not good for all life but it can control athe alge.
U know, sunlight also include UV, right?

My tank use 4200K & 12000K, swap to use. Becasue lighting only have 1 HQI pot.

仲有你買果枝12000k管,有冇同個sale講,是用在草缸上,如果有講,佢都俾e枝管你,我覺得有小小厄你既感覺~~~

Forget the UV issue, it just depends on the bulb itself, ALL HQI emitt harmful UV light, its not about the colour tempeature, its the nature of HQI bulbs. Most manufacturer use at least UV reduced casing, some even 100% blocked.

If you look around, you would find most ppl use 5x00 K bulbs. 12000K is for reef tank to simulate deep water environment which water filter out most red and green light (low end of the light spectrum), nature sunlight in shallower water varies from 3000K to 6000K depends on the time of the day. Get a bulb in 5X00K range with a broad colour spectrum is the best bet. Plants don't care about the colour tempeature (K), they can about colour spectrum. On the other hand, if colour tempeature is too high, say 12000K, it would be common sense that no way it would have much red light, so its definitely not suitable for freshwater plants.
