水草情迷

早上開CO2 半個小時後(1.5 秒1泡)量度:
PH:6.9 (用AZOO PH meter)
KH:30ppm ~1.7
GH:60ppm~3.4

CO2 result: 6.4ppm
CO2 含量似乎偏低.
有乜辨法令CO2提高溶解量?
我己將出水口對著細泡器,免CO2 一出就升上水面，但我的水面依然有很多很細的泡(如圖).我見過一些CO2 溶解筒，但放入缸後頭得很礙眼.
有乜計?

After 2 hour CO2 supply to water, the PH drop to 6.4
I didn't use any "泥" , only some black colour sand on the tank's floor, and it is netural and will not effect PH. I only have 鹿角苔, 水榕,.皇冠. SO no need to add 泥.
The tapwater of my house is PH 7.8!!

佢連埋有一隻co2溶解器,係成把"木弟"咁架,個泡由下面開始左至右,右至左咁升上"木弟"頂...把"木弟"放係魚缸左右唔係好覺眼,我親身見過粒波波真係慢慢細,升到上去已經溶左好多,你可以留意下有冇淨係得把"木弟"單買?

你可以把出水口處接一條彎彎的管,令水斜向噴去細化器處,可能會好些.

If you wanted to more CO2 de-solve into the water....you need let the water hardness become lower..... 軟水樹脂or草泥丸 can be improve the water hardness (KH).....

P.S. CO2 溶解筒係有外置...

My siutation is very similar to yours. I also use gravel and not ADA soil. pH of my tap water also around 7.8. pH of my tank water around 7.4 because of the driftwood, fish wastes etc. The KH of my tank water around 3-4 degrees (using the AP test kit). Using 2 bubbles per sec, the pH will drop to around 6.8.
For your readings on pH and CO2, I suspect your KH may be inaccurate. It may be more likely to be 3-4 degrees, giving you a CO2 around 20-25 ppm.

To increase CO2 in your tank, I think few things you can consider:
1. The spraybar is too close to the water surface. Lower it to few inches below water surface to decrease the surface agitation. This will help to prevent CO2 from escaping from your tank water.
2 Put the CO2 atomizer closer to the filter outlet or feed the CO2 tubing to the filter inlet as suggested by others.
3. If your CO2 atomizer is dirty, soak it in bleach to decrease the CO2 bubble size.

Softening the water will not increase your CO2 solubility. But it will cause a bigger pH drop in your tank water for same amount of CO2.

I have seen BOYU's co2 diffusor in fish stree that comes with a better design than the diffsuor you are using. The co2 goes through a intergrated "snake tube" before forcing through the ceremaic disk, so I think that should give a co2 longer time to dissolve. Also, it comes in three sizes: small, medium and large. The large one has the longest snake tube so I guess it should dissovle the co2 better. Maybe you can consider buying one for better co2 dissolving.

btw, the price is so cheap so I bought 3 back to Vancouver! It's not easy to find one here even you have $$....

The internal Snake tube is just a visual aid only (to count bubbles). The water inside the diffuser is satuated with CO2 for sure, but the water will not flow into your aquarium. the residual CO2 is diffused via the ceramic plate (diffuser plate) no matter how long or short or no snake tube inside the diffuser.

If CO2 溶解筒放入缸後頭得很礙眼, the only way to solve it is to use an external diffuser as suggested by CKTsang

在下午時(CO2開了大概 5 hr), PH value 是6.4.
我想這個 PH 值應該差不多!現在做法是出水口對著細化杯!(如圖)
之前試過將細化杯放在入水口下方，一有CO2 便被吸進濾桶內,但本來很多O2 泡的鹿角苔(缸底那些)比之前少了很多泡!所以又轉回現在做法!
