Mine also can release a lot of bubbles if the co2 supply is enought but only the upper parts can keep red ... may be there are different type of 紅菊 too!
BTW, what is the soft and hard water method ?
O yes, very very beautiful....just a bit orange at the bottom.
i buy it in Fai Kee, $48 @ only......the sales also told me dun buy it ga la.....he said it is not easy to keep.....but i told him i wanna try~ heheee....

i found out that ADA's iron bottom is very useful too.
Fai Kee sales taught me to break the iron bottom into 2.
then i try to apply 1/2 stick more closer with each other(the instruction said 15 x 15 cm) and add new sticks every month in different spots from previous time.
(i dunno if it is useful, but at least i can keep well of 紅菊)
ps. hehe....i think 紅菊(i dunno others) is cheapskate =P . i just dun look after it for 2 days (lack of CO2).......T.T......she she she............almost turns green!!......T.T.....however, she goes better now...hehee!
