水草情迷

Dear all BIG BIG,

I have a problem about my lighting.
My tank is 14" X 8.5" X 9.5" and use DIY 6 X 12" 8W T5 = 48W
T5 list below: (back to front)
2 X TOTA white T5.....don't know the K ........for red grass but can't make it red
1 X Toshiba 4200K
1 X Toshiba 6500K
1 X Toshiba 4200K
1 X Toshiba 6500K

I don't know the light wave coz can't find the spec.

The problem is my grass still grow very fast and red grass only keep in orange or yellow.

Would any BIG BIG give me any suggestion?
Do I need change PL or other?

Is it all white in color as your light?

For red plants that need iron, Co2 & light mixed together


As you shown the config if your tank, it shall be fine

the 6500K is day light and 4200K is cool white

I have DIY CO2 for one sec one
and add 5 drop TMG and ADA ECA per day
also JBL iron bottom per week

May be buy seacham iron later to test.

my tank keep at 25C~28C .........use 4 head FAN to cool down........very noisy ar!!! GOD!
So, now learn with MKHo BIG BIG to DIY a 致冷片

Well, i might suggest to use Trace element (水草微量元素) + ADA ECA + ADA Iron together as what i used for my tank.

Go to seach my posted view, then you will see the result of my tank.

PS. I also not really to type chinese I am sorry too.

There are many shops that selling trace element at Fish Street...

Try to get AZOO, it cost around $65 if i am not wrong

I think 水草微量元素 can fix red grass problem, but how about fix my grass grow so fast problem(節與節之間很長)

Do I need change other type of light..........how about PL or HQI??

As your tank shall not use HQI, it is too strong...

Unless, you will change a bigger tank, thus you could use HQI.

Hi NYPD,

Couldn't you to decrease the light supply. Turn 1/2 light souce off or reduce the light supply hours
