Hi,
Last night, I measure the PH of my new tank water. The result scare me, it is 7.1 while using ADA black soil. Then I try to test the KH, the result is only 2kh. It's a normal KH value(I think). I started to test the PH of the tap water.......wow....is 8.1.

Anybody can tell me why? What will u do when changing water to the tank with these high PH water?

基本上香港的水質是PH7，但有時每個區會有些小出入。下雨後就會落多一點氯氣。我反而擔心D重金屬和氯氣多些呢！我屋企的水PH沒有這個問題啊！

如果你屋企D水PH的差距這麼大，還是買定個大膠筒留定D水作換水用了！魚街好似有PH調整液買。

don't be too hurry
as your tank is new, there is a buffer period
after that, with ADA soil, the pH of your tank may drop drop drop drop............

Thanks for your advice. But I don't have space to keep a big plastic bucket in my home. Can I drop the 'PH down' directly to the fish tank.

don't drop ph down into the tank directly, but put it into the water you prepare to get the change
one week is just a very very short period, be patient
and you will get your dream tank
after the buffer period, you may post again 'how i can raise my pH value?'

用2個2L的蒸漏水樽，每次換小小囉！我都係咁樣做咋！
千萬不要ph調低液直接倒進缸呀！應該慢慢把缸內的ph值減低才對啊！
