我今日去魚街買o左一排根肥, 都成$25一排, 仲唔係有好多, 只不過有大約有十粒, 我想問o下我可唔可以去花虛買種花根肥?

i want to try "Manutec Plant Spikes "
how much should i put in the gravel ?? refer to the water volume or others?????
but i have already added a layer of "car be"(1cm) under the ADA black mud.
should i add 根肥?

I cut each spike into 4 pieces, and put each piece under my root feeders. Then I evenly distributed the rest in other areas, but my tank is fully planted, so you might want to take this into account.

At the beginning, I used 2 spikes for the whole tank, then later about 4 spikes every 2 months, now I increased to 6 spikes every 1.5 months and completely stopped any other substrate fertilizers. Save me lots of money, $12.5 last over a year!

I would recommend to use it very sparingly first, then experiement what's best suit your setup. my experience is that when I was using 2 spikes, it didn't affect my PO4 and NO3 level. 4 spikes, I get a small spike (but healthy level) on PO4 and NO3 in first week or so. Now with 6 spikes, I constantly get around below 0.1ppm PO4 and below 10ppm NO3 for 1.5 months (that's why I re-fert. in 1.5 months), its good for my setup since I had to dose K2HPO4 and KNO3 in the past to keep things going anyway, nevertheless now the plant spikes save me all this trouble, and I just have to supplement PO4 and NO3 about once a week instead of every other day in the past.
